Dress : very intense from raspberry red to deep garnet.
Taste : red and black fruits mix, raspberries and blackberries
In mouth : rich in sap and mellow, elegant finesse and fleshy fullness.  Strong persistence


It is a wine of long duration (from 10 to 30 years, sometimes beyond).

The Clos de Vougeot is noble and therefore rich and sweet chords. That’s why it will go perfectly with a rib of beef, a braised lamb, a roasted veal with mushrooms.
On the cheese side, it is preferable to combine soft cheeses with the washed rind: sponges, Langres, Soumaintrain, Saint-Florentin and Cîteaux
The ideal temperature for service is 12 to 13°C, 15 to 16°C at maturity.
